Advanced Serger & Coverstitch Technique Series
Multi-Month Specialty Techniques Project
Join Sewing Machine Warehouse for an advanced technique class series featuring your serger/coverstitch machine.
This is a single project with several components. We will be doing this project over 4 to 6 months. The shorter length classes will enable us to focus on each month's technique. At the end we will have a tote bag loaded with specialty techniques.
This in-depth, hands-on series is perfect for sewists who want to explore the full capabilities of their serger and/or coverstitch machine while working on a structured, skill-building project.
Techniques You Will Learn
Techniques learned:
- Create decorative coverstitch
- Create ribbon attachment
- Create pin tucks
- Create puffing
- Create a quilt square
- Use overlock to create ladder stitch
Each month focuses on one or more of these techniques, giving you time to practice and understand how to apply them to future garments, home décor, and specialty projects.
Accessories Used in Class
Accessories used in class:
- Standard presser foot
- Pin Tuck Foot and accessory
- Cover/Chain foot
- Cording foot
You’ll learn when and why to use each accessory, and how these tools can dramatically expand what your serger or coverstitch machine can do.
Class Fee
Cost: $60 per class (includes all fabric supplies) – you will supply the thread.

Class dates – all classes meet from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM:

You may attend the full series to complete the entire tote bag, or choose specific months if you are interested in particular techniques.
