One-on-One Sewing, Embroidery & Software Training

The Personal Training Class at Sewing Machine Warehouse is a one-hour, one-on-one session designed to help you learn how to use your sewing machine, embroidery machine, or embroidery software. Each session is customized to focus on exactly what you want to learn.

Sewing Machine Training

Topics may include:

• How to thread your machine
• How to wind a bobbin
• Selecting stitches
• Understanding your machine accessories
• Learning machine settings and controls

What to Bring:

• Your sewing machine
• All accessories
• Foot control
• Scissors
• Notepad and pen

Embroidery Machine Training

Topics may include:

• Basic hooping techniques
• Stabilizer selection and theory
• Proper thread and bobbins for embroidery
• How to load and stitch an embroidery design
• Navigating embroidery screens and menus

• Embroidery arm
• Embroidery hoops
• Stabilizer
• Thread

• Scissors
• Notepad and pen

Embroidery Software Training

Software available for training:

• Brother PE-Design 11
• Brother BES
• Palette
• DIME Perfect Embroidery Pro
• Viking/Pfaff My Sew Net
• Floriani

Internet-based software programs are not supported.

What to Bring:

• Laptop computer with the software installed
• Software dongle (if required)
• Mouse
• Notepad and pen

Important Note

These training sessions are designed for machine operation and software instruction only. If you want to learn how to sew projects or quilting techniques, please sign up for our Basic & Advanced Sewing and Quilting Class.

Complimentary Machine Training

Basic machine training is complimentary for customers who purchased their machines from Sewing Machine Warehouse. To schedule a complimentary training session, select an available time slot online and call the store to book the appointment.

Class Details

Class Fee: $40 per one-hour session

Each session is tailored to your needs, so please be prepared to explain what you would like to learn when booking your class.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled class, you will receive a store credit that can be used to reschedule. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class are not eligible for store credit.

Arrival Policy

Please arrive early so you are ready to begin at your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive late, additional time may not be available depending on the instructor’s schedule.
