We'll also learn how to read a pattern, fabric layout, cutting, assembling, seam construction and finishing techniques.  Construct a Basic Project and learn important techniques...

What Should You Bring to your First Sewing Class ?  We encourage you to bring a SIMPLE PROJECT to class: Custom Pillowcase, P.J. Bottoms, Neck Warmer, Decorator Pillow Cover, Fleece Scarf, Tote Bag, Purse (Usually you will need a purchased pattern)

1. Sharp scissors
2. Straight pins.
3. Tape measure.
4. Fabric and matching thread: (woven is easier than stretch. Stripes & plaids are more challenging.)
5. Sewing machine: Bring your own. Students are allowed to use a store machine upon request.

Bring a project, with notions, in any state of completion or non-completion.

Cost: Three Classes 2 hours each class for $89.99 (classes do not have to be taken in consecutive weeks).  If you want one class session please call the store directly to set that up.

To ensure student safety, class size is reduced and reservations are required.

Purchasing online, please pick the date for your first class.  We will schedule the remaining two classes at the time of your first class.

Quilting Class Info

Want to learn how to quilt?  This is the basic class for you. 

We will teach you: 

1.  How to cut the pieces of your fabric following your quilt project instructions.
2.  Lay out your quilt pieces and sew them together.
3.  Layer your quilt top with batting and backing to quilt them together.
4.  Help you chose quilting type and style for your project.

How does it work?  You get three classes of instruction, we can start where you need the help or start at the very beginning. 

Have a quilt top made but can't figure out what to do now?  We can help with that. 

What do I need to bring?  Fabric, thread, sewing machine, pattern, rotary cutter (if you have one and need help cutting).

How many classes does it take?  That depends on you and how fast you work, we work at your pace.

How much does it cost?  $89.99 for three, two-hour classes.
